        Winter is upon us, which means scarf season. Personally, I love to foppishly swaddle my gurgling jugular with hypnotic arrays plastic massager of argyle and plaid, or insanely long, Tom Baker-esque boa constrictors woven from chenille wool. I’d wear them in summer Bowl brush if I could, but even taking heat stroke out of the equation, that seems a bit much.         UXsight’s latest is a USB Massage Scarf that aims to update that rectangle of cloth to the 21st century. How does it do that? It tries to strangle you.

        More resembling some sort of hideous deep sea eel than a more traditional scarf, the USB Massage Scarf claims to utilize “high energy particles” (read: electricity) to massage your neck, when connected to a USB port. That in and of itself presents a problem, since it means you have to wear your scarf indoors. The press insists it can be used on your “neck, shoulders, thights or waist” to release “tense muscles” which makes it seem a bit like an “anti-hysteria massager”

        Still, it’s cheap, just $12, and machine washable. If you’re looking for a useless but inexpensive item for a family member you need to shop for out of familial duty this Christmas, you could do worse.
